Meanest Cat in World

Here she is. The meanest cat in the world. She looks very sweet and cuddly, doesn't she? But she's a brutal killer, trust me.

And here's the proof. Baby bunny rescued from Phoebe's mouth about 1/2 hour ago. Still alive, but injured. I'm waiting for Gary to come home and make the call. And Phoebe did this without benefit of front claws and while wearing one of those collars with the bell on it to "warn" birds and small animals. The lettuce is in hopes that the little guy will survive. He did eat a bit of it, so we'll see.

The ugliest dog in the world

Elwood is the ugliest dog in the world, he just won a prize in an annual contest in New Jersey.

Planning...

So, we need to start planning the Koesters' advanture in Israel.
Pretty sure the Israeli folks will have some ideas, but I wanted to ask if any of you have a special place you heard of and want to visit, so that we can put it in the plan :)

Everybody's going to Israel!

I'm happy to report that all the tickets have been purchased, all the seats have been selected, and passports issued (or on their way) -- so it looks like EVERYBODY is going to israel!
I sent around the itineraries, but in general -- the kids will arrive on Sunday, Aug 19th in the morning, and Gary, Sandy and Ben will arrive in the afternoon.
Get out the red carpet, it's gonna be August in no time!

In our backyard today

Dirty Jobs, Odi style

The picture of Gary in the Dirty jobs illustration Keren did got me thinking... What would be Odi's version of "Dirty Jobs"

And then it hit me...

Digging up the sewage system around the house.

I think we have posted one of the excavations he did to pull out one of the roots in the system (I remember Ben was with me, "helping" Odi while he is 2 feet under).

Anyhow, this one is the craziest ever.

He dug up 3.5 cubic meters of hard Nazaz land, in order to make a new pipe line for the sewage.

It sums up in 14 meters (36 feet) lenght, by 1.2 (4 feet) avrage meters deep, by 35 cm (1.2 feet) wide.

and in a week of time!

We are very proud of him.

Memorial day weekend. 10-hour drive to Canada. 4 grownups, 6 kids (you decide who gets which title), one yellow dog, two pointy dogs, one hyper dog. one fish named Walter.

Turkey

OK,
So now that Keren re-invited us to the blog, we have to justify our presence... so here is the short short version of our family trip to Turkey:
WOW!!! it was much much better than we expected, and we expected it to be great.

And now the longer version...We stayed at an all included resort not far from Kemer (southern Turkey, Tekirova gulf, in the Antalya region). Almost everyone at the resort was either a rich oversized russian or his pretty and supertanned wife. There were so few Israelis that the staff kept talking to us in German. It just didn't seem right to them that we would be Israeli.... All included is really all included (icecream, alcohol, waterslides, etc.etc.etc...). Dori developed a fetish for the water slides so we spent quite a long time there.

The resort was huge, everything in the pics is taken within the resort.

If anyone is looking for a great place, we definately recommend Rixos Tekirova. Its a little more expensive then the other resorts, but its worth it.
