glad you enjoyed!

Hi all,

Still waiting for you to post pictures of your weekend .... we heard you all had a marvelous time.
So... it just made me more adement about coming to visit.

I just made reservations for a flight for all of us (Dori, Amit, Omer, and me) to leave Israel on 09 Aug 09 to Chicago, and a flight back on 27 Aug 09 from Toronto.
I can still adjust the reservations (maybe leave a day earlier, maybe return 2 days later, or shorten it on both ends), so if the dates are not good please let me know. The reservation is only good until this Wednesday. On Thursaday (07 May 09) either I finalize the tickets or I loose them. After I finalize them any change to any one ticket costs 60$, so I would like to avoid the penalty...
We plan on staying at Keren's for a few (2-4?) days, then heading to Canada (through Michigan?), and having a few more days (3-5?) at Toronto. If anyone has any better ideas, please feel free. As you can see, its a very loose schedule...
By the way, how far is it to Toronto from the cabin? Do we need a flight for that?

For some reson, the Koesters (G+S) and I can't seem to communicate directly over emails (its a webwide conspiracy...our emails never get through...) I'll get your current email from Keren later tonight. Hopefully, I will succeed this time.

So- keep enjoying yourselves.

All the best,
Dikla

PS- Odi, the next time you call me and tell me to call you back, make sure you say clearly if there is a baby yet... last time you called I was so excited (and sure that there is a baby onboard), that I dropped the phone, misdialed the number, and all this only to hear Dalia say, "ohh.. the baby isn't here yet, we just wanted to chat..." We love you too (!) but lets keep things clear...

Toys-R-what???

We descovered that little kids sometimes don't go with the flow. god knows how many colored plastic toys we have all over the house, but what seems to be the best toy Dori & Amit found last Friday was a big cardboard box. They played witht eh box something like an hour, and we had to stop them, because the box couldn't take it anymore.

The spring is here… and the colors now are beautiful

I can't believe it, but we had winter last week, and now it is summer. Spring came, and we didn't have a chance to post it in the blog

As you know, we cut the treetops of the Avocado trees.

http://transatlanticfamily.blogspot.com/2009/02/one-row-down-four-more-to-go.html

The next thing to do when cutting a tree roughly is to paint the main branches so it will not be too exposed to the sun all of a sudden.

The next thing to do is to make sure the trees will not get shay, so you need to give them some socks.

So you can say that this is Dalia's latest art-work before leaving Israel…

Gary and Sandy are sitting on the deck, drinking a beer, and thinking how much they miss Dalia and Odi and that they will get to see them NEXT WEEK!!!!!  Dinner for 6 at whatever restaurant Ben and Keren choose, lots of catching up, maybe a little (or a lot) of baby shopping, it's all good and we can't wait.

Gary and Sandy would also be happy to find a nearby hotel room for the weekend (the weekend of the 25th) so that no one has to sleep in the cradle.   Any suggestions, Ben or Keren?

We would also consider it a personal favor if Keren would decide to have the baby over that weekend.  AFTER dinner on Saturday night?  OK, Keren?

Anyhow, we are excited to see you all next weekend.  It's been waaaayyy too long.

Post-big-bang

Here are a few photos we took during dinner. No Egg story this time, but we are hearing the rear-end mazot story… and it doesn't smell so good…

I wish you all could be here to feel the atmosphere.

Yuval, Guy and Ron gave some background music to the singing of the adaga, and by that avoided singing.

It also helped us skipping pages without Odi noticing.

The first guests came at 17:30 (Moty, Niva and Ofer), and the last ones left at 15:30 the next day (Omer Dikla and the kids).

It was nioce to see Dori and Alma play together, and not being afraid of spiders – even holding them (and we taught that we have cleaned the house properly for the holiday).

By the way, Maya and Keren are due nearly at the same day. Maya Is going to have a Baby-boy.

We had some out-of-the-ordinary original singing by Yuval (in the video) and Guy, which played while we ate, so no video of that (you know how Ron is when he is eating…)

The food was excellent.

Passover dinner

As you all know, we have Passover dinner and stuff today.

We begin with at least 45 minutes (which we try to pass without passing out) of reading the Agada of passover. Odi is in charge of making sure nothing is skipped. unfortunately, he is doing a good job...

So, before the dinner, there is the matter of preparing the dinner table, for 20 people.
