Beer Brewing
When i met Ben, he told me that his mom brews her own beer. I was very impressed by that; But every once in a while i couldn't help thinking that maybe it was just a line, and it was all a big hoax: she didn't seem to be brewing anything in all the time i've been around...
well, i was wrong! apparently, she's now ready to pass on the family secrets of beer brewing to her youngest child.

| A picture of happy yeast, at last. The yeast was pretty slow to get started, but seems to be very active now. Maybe not getting a full serving of the nutrient before being pitched slowed it. Those towels in the background are wrapped around the carboy (big glass bottle) to keep light out during fermentation. You can't see it in the picture, but the air lock at the top is "burping" softly about every 5 seconds or so. It will likely speed up as fermentation speeds up. |  |

One thing that you missed out - WHEN SHOULD WE COME TO DRINK IT???
Is it a half a year prosess? a month? how long?
What i mean is: save some for me..
Be patient, Ron. We seem to have a very, very lazy gang of yeast cells working in this batch of beer. Two and a half days out and they're just starting to work. At this rate, we won't be bottling this batch for 2-3 weeks, and then it will need to condition in the bottles for at least a month, or as long as Gary and I can resist the temptation to "test" it. If all goes well, and the beer is decent, we will certainly save a few bottles for you to try.
I think I'm going to start a lager soon as well, which should be much more flavorful than the normal mass produced American lager. I'll save some of that as well.
Boy, I sure am thirsty now. I can already feel my beer gut getting bigger.
