We didn't have a camera with functioning batteries that day :(. Megan, Kevin, Matt, Erin, and me (and Grendel) convened in Grand Haven (here's the way to Grand Haven. We had brunch at the Rendezvous Cafe (three positive reviews!), and then went sand castle building at Rose Mound State Park on Lake Michigan.
The sky was foggy, and the water temperature a refreshing 52 F (about 11 C). My skin turned purple in this water after about 5 mins. We also rescued a duckling, which Erin should be so kind as to tell us about. ERIN!
We finished the day with chili dogs at Special S's. Yummy. Then I went home.
Wow, I can't believe no one posted a negative review for the Rendezvous!
We did rescue a baby duck just before he ran into a flock of hungry seagulls. We tried to find his family but didn't. We kept him over night and Kevin took him to a wild animal rehabilitation center where he was aparently happily united with his own kind :)
