Ice fishing - the Israeli way
That's right.
We also have a version of ice fishing: digging out and getting the roots of our pipes.
Here is the action order for it:
1. dig a hole
2. get the fish out of the hole
3. Hold the fish for a nice picture:
4. Look at the fish, and make sure it's dead
I believe this one can go also with the title of Dirty Jobs. (taken from here!)

man, that's one hell of a root-fish you got there. i hope you don't plan on cooking it for dinner :)
whose toilet did it plug this time?
i think by now it IS a spring tradition at the Sharonim's back yard...
We are not cooking it, yet. we are waiting for Gary to come and show us how to clean it first.
This time it was the entrance toilets, so we have now started round #3. my bathroom also waits for us... but i have been decreasing the activity level, so it will not be as bad as it should...
it's gotta be a 5-year cycle for those guys. in rotation. so every year one of the 5 toilets gets unplugged...
you might want to go check on the toilet in my bedroom, make sure it's ready for my arrival!
I think that root counts as salad to go with the fish. Aren't carrots a root?
Soooo............what kind of bait did you catch it on? And don't tell me it's a secret!
Looks like you've got an auger that would put mine to shame!
Do you only catch them at night, or do the bastards bite during the day too?
To me, it looks like a wall-hanger, meaning that you should not clean and eat it, but take it to a taxidermist so that you could put it on the wall in your room (hopefully not next to one of your mother's paintings)
To get the small ones, some people use half a dozen suckers (use the plunger for 6 times). But ours was a stavern little basterd.
we felt the bite a month ago. we set the hole during the day, and the bite took place at night.
There are rumers of another one in a close by lkae, called "Ron's loo". We should check it soon - there are a few beavers in the area, and we are afraid it might get flooded.
