Using low-tech for high-tech

so, how do you move a 300 pound rock from one place to the other...

The Sharons (Odi) have made a special way.

Maybe we should ask ourself WHY should we move a 300 pound rock. well, one of the roots got into the suwage system, so we had to dig it up, remove the root, and cover it up. Sounds simple, right? well, we had only one problem. actually, two problems - 2 huge rocks, 300 pound each, was above the pipes we had to dig out.

This time we used more brains and less power
You can see the system works at: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/537496/like_we_did_in_egypt/

P.S. The pluming works now.

wow, kol hakavod.
i remember the days when aba could lift those rocks with his bare hands... they are there for decoration, and are a part of the garden structure. i also remember him shoulder-deep in sewer holes multiple times. these Ficus trees just send a tiny little root on an expedition, and these roots find some way into the pipe, and once they find what's in there they thrive and expand and fill the entire pipe. what i don't understand, is why does tne tree need all those huge roots inside the pipe, if it can only get things (shit molecules?) out of a tiny tiny root...
anyway, the one that ends up battling with trees is aba, in what seems to be a sisiphic effort.
maybe this time the rock can find another home?

Nice work. So did you put the rocks back over top of the of the pipes?

Hell no.

We are learning more and more from one sewer problem to the next. The rocks now are moved to there they will not disturb us no more (and moved to a place which is close by).
We placed the rocks not far from where the picture is taken.

I think that now all the sewer pipes are reachable, within a resnable effort (only digging, with no "excavations").

I'll bet you can't move them to the roof. :)
They would always be out of the way up there - until they fell into the kitchen.

Just like Papa-Sharon says: it can be lifted to any hight, the questions is how much patients you have (or how many patients the doctors have aventually).
so it is possible to get it to the roof, but i'm not sure it will be there in time for the wedding, if that's what you mean..
