Stinky Scarf

Finished this scarf last night and blocked (steamed) it today Why did no one tell me how bad wet alpaca smells? I assume the smell will go away when it's dry. Otherwise, it will never get worn.

Sandy, it is beautiful! how did you make it? i tried to knit a scarf with stripes along the long end, and it was a disaster. it was so much work, i had to quit.
pattern please?

and re alpaca -- hmm. i'm now knitting a hat for Nicole with a 30% alpaca blend, i hope she doesn't wear it when it rains... i started a hat for myself with gray alpaca yarn, ran out of yarn half way, and JoAnn doesn't have that color anymore :( i would hate to have to order it online and pay x2 as much for one skein!

Keren, you can have the patttern, but you will hate it. You have to cast on 240 stiches! You knit it from the side. I got so sick of the 8x repeat rows. And you MUST use stitch markers or you'll be ripping out whole rows of 240 stitches if you make a mistake.

If you still want the pattern, I'll write it out and email it to you.

If it will still smell, you can give it to Gary.. no one will notice anyhow...

just make sure he doesn't take it to work, so the cows won't try to run away!!
